Abby Gibson Veterinary Medicine Scholarship Endowment
Abby's Scholarship
To embrace Abby’s dream of becoming a veterinarian, we established the Abby Gibson Veterinary Medicine Scholarship Endowment at The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Abby's scholarship endowment is managed by The UT Foundation and will benefit generations of veterinary students. Our goal for Abby's scholarship is to help others achieve their dreams of becoming a veterinarian while remembering Abby.
The Abby Gibson Veterinary Medicine Scholarship is awarded annually to a UTCVM graduate student who graduated from an East Tennessee high school. The selected student must be passionate about caring for animals and demonstrate a history of her or his commitment to the veterinary profession through volunteer hours. She or he must also hold a minimum 3.0 GPA and plan to specialize in large or mixed animal practice.
With the help of family, friends, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and our wonderful community, we were able to raise the money needed to endow Abby's scholarship in less than three years! Our current goal is to raise an additional funds for Abby's scholarship endowment. Our plans to accomplish this goal include events such as the annual Walk and Wag and private gifts.
